President of the Red Cross of Serbia, Prof.. Dragan Radovanovic and his associates participated in the annual meeting of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Sydney from 11-18 November 2013.

In coordination with the representative of the Australian Parliament in the Diaspora, Mr Dragan Milovanovic, on November 14th a meeting was held at Bonnyrigg Sports Centre, which was attended by representatives of the largest Serbian organizations and the Serbian Orthodox Church. Respondents to the meeting were presidents of SC Bonnyrigg, Serbian National Defence, Serbian club "Saint Sava" from Hoxton Park, Serbian Orthodox Youth ("SOYA"), the church "St. George" from Cabramatta, the meeting was followed by the newspaper reporter from" News" and Consul Jasmina Pekmezovic.

Representatives of the Red Cross of Serbia presented the programs of our oldest and most respected humanitarian organizations, with special emphasis on the recovery program in their children resort in Baosici, Montenegro.  
This program is designed for children from the Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohia, pupils that walk long distance to school, socially handicapped and orphans, providing them with the opportunity of 10 days free holiday at beach resort under supervision of volunteer tutors.  Resort "Krista Djordjevic", according to the president of RCS, although, it has opportunities to receive three hundred youngsters during the season, due to lack of finance it functions with one-third capacity. The cost of a 10-day stay per child amounts to 270.00 Euros, with the help of donations from our emigrants this number could increase and provide an unforgettable vacation to a large number of children from Serbia whose parents do not have the ability to provide for them.
