Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked last night with Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison.

In a telephone conversation, Brnabic and Morrison exchanged all information about the current situation regarding the best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, who was approved to enter the country by an Australian court yesterday.

Brnabic asked that Novak Djokovic be treated fairly by the Australian authorities, and that all his rights be respected.

The Prime Minister especially emphasised the importance of the conditions for training and physical preparation for the upcoming competition, considering that Novak Djokovic was not allowed to train in the previous days, and the tournament in Melbourne starts this weekend.

Prime Minister Brnabic also asked Morrison to be in direct contact in the coming days and for the government of Serbia and the government of Australia to exchange all information directly.

Prime Minister Morrison accepted this proposal, and an agreement was reached for the two prime ministers to talk again in the coming days.

Brnabic asked her Australian colleague to do everything in his power, so that Novak Djokovic would have human and dignified treatment in Australia, for the entire duration of his stay.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the Republic of Serbia is fully ready to provide all guarantees to Australia, if they are needed.
